Whether you’re going on a picnic, throwing a barbeque or enjoying your backyard with a few close friends, appetizers are a must. If you’re low on time, consider these quick and easy recipes for the summer:
Watermelon salad skewer
This treat by All Recipes contributor Lindsey Otta is as simple as it gets. Cut eight cubes of watermelon, eight pieces of feta cheese and eight fresh mint leaves. Just thread a watermelon cube, piece of feta and one mint leaf onto a toothpick. Repeat the trio with all remaining ingredients. Enjoy!
Grilled pineapple salsa
A sweet and salty dish, this recipe by Delish goes perfect with your favorite chips or crackers. Preheat your grill to medium heat, and cut a pineapple. Place pineapple slices on the grill and char on each side. Remove the pineapple from the grill, and then slice it into bite-size pieces. Place the pineapple in a bowl with two chopped peaches, one minced jalapeno, half of a chopped red onion, juice of one lime and two teaspoons of cilantro. Toss and enjoy!
Prosecco grapes
If you’re looking for a dessert recipe for the adults, you’ve come to the right place with this treat from Delish. Mix one 750-milliliter bottle of Prosecco with four ounces of vodka. Pour the mixture over four pounds of grapes, and let them soak in the fridge for an hour. Drain the grapes, coat them with sugar and serve.
Remember: Just because it’s too sunny or the bugs invade your space doesn’t necessarily mean you have to head inside to enjoy your appetizers.
