Home to spectacular mountain vistas, dense forests of old growth pine and ocean views of unimaginable beauty, BC has to be one of the most delightful places to live in North America.But for the owners of The Forever House on BC’s West Coast, there was an unwelcome side to living in their little slice of paradise: bugs. Although mosquitoes weren’t a big problem, they were plagued by wasps and flies – especially at night when the evening lights attracted them to the cottage. Named Forever House, this luxurious and eclectic summer cottage provides a quiet sanctuary from the hustle of city life. The owners of this home wanted a getaway that allowed them to relax and enjoy outdoor living to the fullest. However, their evenings were often marred by annoying flies and bugs.
They solved the problem though by choosing retractable window screens by Phantom. Our screens let them enjoy their home without the bugs – and quiet dinners in the evening even with their lights on!
Views that go on forever
When you have ocean views like the ones from this cottage, the last thing you want to do is hide them away. Because the window screens that the homeowners chose use a Phifer 18/14 fiberglass mesh with 58% openness – they could enjoy their amazing views, let lots of fresh air in and stop bugs entering the house.
Wood grain matching
The final touch to this lovely home was that the window screens were custom color matched with the cottage’s wood grain windows to blend right in with the décor. Plus they disappear completely out of sight when not in use, so are perfect for preserving the look of the home – and the awesome views.
